Forestry

Forests cover more than half (51%) of the Estonian mainland. They grow on around 2.3 million hectares of land, approximately 70% of 1.5 million hectares of which is classed as commercial or classic forestry forest. A third of all forests in the country are protected.
Forestry support is distributed on the basis of Estonia's rural development plan for 2007-2013 by both ARIB and the Private Forest Centre.

More detailed information regarding support measures is available here (in Estonian)
